Girasol in Studio City is changing up its cocktail program with some new drinks created by veteran mixologist Brian Butler (A-Frame and Sunny Spot) who collaborated with executive chef CJ Jacobson to complement his local, rustic-refined cuisine. Featuring small-batch and California-based craft distillers, the cocktails incorporate unique ingredients such as sorrel pine syrup, black walnut liqueur, fennel bitters, ginger liqueur and more. The new specialty cocktails are $12 each and introduce innovative twists on such classic drinks as the gimlet, old-fashioned and martini. girasolrestaurant.com

If you can’t get to the East Coast this summer, you can attempt to fake it with a lobster festival that is happening through July 30 at King’s Fish House at The Commons in Calabasas. According to the menu, the catch comes from the area between the Georges Bank and the Gulf of Maine. On tap are whole, hard-shell, steamed lobsters from 1¼ pound to 3 pounds ($27.25 to $48.50). Add a New England clambake with mussels, clams, red potatoes and corn on the cob for $5.95. Other selections include Maine lobster bisque ($5.75/$8.75), fried clam po’boy ($13.50)—and of course, a New England lobster roll ($13.75). kingsfishhouse.com
