Pho is a verb at Let’s Pho, a Vietnamese noodle soup and “Asian street foods” restaurant that opened in December 2016 in Sherman Oaks’ Mahin Plaza. The old Goldie’s rotisserie chicken space now contains a pressed copper ceiling, wood tables, black-and-white tiles, reclaimed wood accents and mismatched chandeliers. Chef Danny Supthong sold It’s Thai Hometaurant in Echo Park and Koreatown and still runs It’s Pho in Hollywood. He recently added Let’s Pho to the rotation.

The menu is a mix of Vietnamese and Thai dishes. Start with the namesake Vietnamese noodle soup. Pho Combination combines cloudy, long-simmered beef broth with rice noodles, aromatics like onion and ginger, and pieces of beef brisket, tendon, tripe and firm beef meatballs. Garnishes include scallions and onions. Dress with jalapeño, bean sprouts, onion, basil and squeeze of lime. Let’s Pho also sells variations with chicken or tofu and vegetables.

Let’s Pho carries plenty of Thai menu items, including larb gai with ground chicken and toasted rice powder; crab fried rice with egg and scallion; pad Thai with a choice of meat; and spicy Thai coconut soup with chicken breast or shrimp. You’ll also find blackboard specials and drinkable coconuts.
