Mend Urgent Care stands out from its competition in several ways. We offer extended hours, including evenings and weekends, to provide patients with convenient access to care. We also offer online check-in, allowing patients to reserve their spot and wait from the comfort of their home. We prioritize patient care and comfort with a welcoming, friendly environment and an emphasis on communication and transparency. We are committed to treating every patient with compassion and respect, and to providing clear and understandable explanations of diagnoses and treatment options. We also stand out because of our commitment to communication and transparency. Our dedication to providing top-quality urgent care services and our responsiveness to the needs of our community make us a valuable asset to the Sherman Oaks area.

In what ways does your work assist a growing population of seniors?

As the population of seniors continues to grow, it impacts the demand for urgent care services. Seniors are more likely to suffer from chronic medical conditions, such as diabetes and heart disease, which require ongoing management and can lead to acute exacerbations that require urgent medical attention. Additionally, seniors are at a higher risk of falls and other accidents, which can result in injuries that require urgent care. The growing population of seniors also places increased demand on primary care providers, who may refer patients to urgent care clinics for non-life-threatening conditions. Urgent care clinics can also provide specialized geriatric care and accommodate mobility issues.

What are the most important traits to succeed in your industry?

To succeed in the urgent care industry, strong communication skills are crucial, as urgent care providers need to be able to effectively communicate with patients, their families and other health care professionals in a fast-paced environment. Urgent care providers should also have excellent problem-solving abilities, as they will often need to make quick decisions to diagnose and treat patients in urgent situations. Flexibility and adaptability are important traits, as urgent care providers must be able to respond to unexpected situations and changes in patient needs. The ability to work well under pressure and handle stress is also important. A commitment to ongoing learning and professional development is essential, as the urgent care industry is constantly evolving, and providers must stay up to date with the latest medical advances and technologies.

How did your team perform during the COVID-19 crisis?

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we quickly adapted our operations to ensure the safety of both patients and staff. We implemented a variety of safety protocols, including temperature checks, mandatory mask wearing and frequent disinfection of surfaces. We also began offering telemedicine appointments to allow patients to receive care remotely. We worked closely with local public health authorities to ensure that we were following the latest guidelines and recommendations.

Mend Urgent Care was involved in community outreach and education during the pandemic. We provided information and resources to local schools and businesses, helping promote awareness and prevent the spread of COVID-19. We partnered with local organizations to provide COVID-19 testing and vaccination services, helping increase access to these critical resources.

Additionally, Mend Urgent Care was one of the first clinics in the area to offer COVID-19 testing to patients, and we also provided vaccination services when they became available. Mend Urgent Care played a crucial role in helping the community navigate the challenges of the pandemic.
